Privacy Policy

The short version: SmartCreator Tools is a collection of tools that run entirely in your web browser. We have no user accounts, we do not upload your files anywhere, we run no analytics, and we set no first-party cookies. Your images, audio and video are processed on your own device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
1. Who is responsible
SmartCreator Tools ("we", "us") operates the website at smartcreator.tools. For any privacy question you can reach us at "smartcreatorteam [at] gmail [dot] com".
2. What we collect
We do not collect, store or sell personal data. Specifically:
- No accounts — there is no sign-up, login, name or email required to use any tool.
- No uploads — files you open are read and processed locally by your browser (JavaScript/WebAssembly). They are never transmitted to our servers, because the tools have no servers that receive files.
- No analytics or tracking — we run no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels and no behavioural tracking.
- No first-party cookies — the site itself stores nothing on your device that identifies you.
3. How your files are processed
Each tool does its work in your browser. For example, the background remover runs an AI model locally, the video splitter uses an in-browser build of ffmpeg, and the photo optimizer reads and rewrites images with the Canvas API. The resulting file is created on your device and offered to you as a download. Nothing about the file's contents leaves your browser.
4. Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub processes basic technical information needed to deliver the page (such as your IP address and browser user-agent in standard request logs). We do not control or receive these logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement for details.
5. Third-party resources
To keep the tools small and fast, your browser loads some resources from third-party providers. Because your browser connects to them directly, those providers may receive your IP address as part of a normal web request. We do not share any additional data with them. These are:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — web fonts, on every page.
- jsDelivr / cdnjs — open-source libraries used by specific tools (the ffmpeg engine for video/audio-to-video, the MediaPipe model for fast background removal, and — when you choose HQ mode — the RMBG-1.4 model from the Hugging Face Hub (huggingface.co), the QR-code library). Loaded only on the relevant tool page, and only when needed.
- Buy Me a Coffee (cdnjs.buymeacoffee.com) — an optional "support" widget on the tool pages. If you interact with it, Buy Me a Coffee may set its own cookies and process data under their privacy policy.
6. Cookies and why there is no cookie banner
The site sets no first-party cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers, so there is nothing on our side that requires a consent banner under the EU ePrivacy Directive or GDPR. The only third-party component that could set its own cookies is the optional Buy Me a Coffee widget, and only if you choose to interact with it. We have deliberately avoided every cookie-based feature so the experience stays clean and consent-free.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA (GDPR), the UK (UK GDPR) or a US state with privacy laws, you have rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Because we do not hold any personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to retrieve, change or delete. For US residents: we do not sell or share personal information. You can contact us with any request using the email above.
8. Children
The tools are general-purpose and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the tools evolve. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
